About Curiouser Cats
Curiouser Cats puts 724 wet cat foods side by side by their label numbers: carbs, protein, calories and cost per day. We read each brand's own labels, do the math the same way for every can, and show our sources.
What we do, and what we don't
- We read the labels. For 917 wet cat food recipes from 30 brands (724 of them meals, not toppers, treats or vet diets), we saved the guaranteed analysis, calories, ingredients and AAFCO statement from the brand's own site or label file, with the link.
- We do the same math for every can. Labels mix water into every number. We take the water out (dry matter), so a pouch and a can compare fairly.
- We use the brand's typical numbers when it publishes them. Label numbers are minimums and maximums. Typical numbers are what is usually in the can.
- We show cost per day, not just price per pack, because cans differ in size and calories.
- We are not vets. Our pages compare food facts. For a cat with kidney disease, diabetes or another health problem, ask your vet which numbers matter most.

We earn money when you buy through our Amazon links. As an Amazon Associate, Curiouser Cats earns from qualifying purchases. We don't sell products, ads, sponsored posts or rankings.
Rules that keep our picks independent
- Brands can't pay to be included, ranked or picked.
- We pick by the rule written on each page, not by what earns us more.
- We don't accept free products in exchange for coverage.
- Every product we pick is buyable today, with the price and the date we checked it.
